Examples teach born-again Christians how to become bold witnesses for Christ.

These stories about real people in present-day

settings offer fresh concepts and new ideas that make it a real joy to share Jesus!

You will learn by examples -

the way Jesus trained his

disciples.

Jesus’ method of on-the-job training inspired the concept for this book. You will see how dependence upon the Holy Spirit helps you recognize opportunities to be a witness that God gives you all the time. You will see how God makes divine appointments for you   -- and even puts words in your mouth . . . when you walk with Him in prayer.

For example, in the second story, I was driving home from work when I saw four teens drinking booze next to a drive-thru liquor store.  Feeling helpless to do anything about it, I continued on my way home. After dinner, God told me to go talk to those teens. So in order to have time to pray, I decided to walk the one mile to the liquor store . . . and on the way, God gave me a Bible verse to meditate on -- Gal 2:20 empowered me to over-come any fear of approaching people to share Jesus. And the greatest teacher of the gospel who ever lived, put words in my mouth that caught their attention and touched the hearts of two girls who prayed to receive Jesus. As soon as I mentioned Jesus, one of the boys took off, but powerful seeds were planted.

This is just one of the stories that inspire readers to be

leaders in their church, and teach others also. At right . . . .

“ADVENTURES OF A WITNESS FOR JESUS is inspirational, informative and challenging. I am fascinated with Warren’s unique approach in carrying out the Great Commission.  I believe this book will encourage and motivate the reader to be a better witness for Jesus.”

R. Herbert Fitzpatrick, Pastor Emeritus of Riverdale Baptist Church, Largo, MD

“Bridges scare us. Especially new bridges into uncharted territory. Speaking to an unbeliever about your faith in Christ can seem threatening. But Warren Sears creates bridges in rather unusual ways. What, for example would you say to a group of teens drinking booze in front of a liquor store with a boom box blasting?  Or at the front door of a house when met by a smart-alecky kid, a huge killer dog, and a big tattooed man with six other people squeezed around unpacked boxes inside? Listen to the bold way he builds bridges to unbelievers and learn how God can use you to make connections with the pride and self-interest of unbelievers.  Highly recommended.”

Prof. James S. Schuppe, Washington Bible College,

Pastor Belcroft Bible Church,Bowie,MD

“For most of my life I have never felt “smart” however the Bible is clear “He that wins souls is wise.” Sadly, many Christians (including clergy) no longer have a burden for lost souls. Jesus soul mission was souls. My dear friend, Warren Sears, shares personal accounts of how God used Him to share his faith with folks in our Nation’s Capitol and across America. Jesus was the greatest story teller of all time and His favorite teaching tool was the parable. I pray these stories will educate, encourage and empower you to share Jesus with others before it’s eternally too late! I have seen firsthand that when you promote God - the Lord promotes you! Buy one for yourself and ten more to give away!”

Frank Shelton, Evangelist, Author and Founder of Celebrate Jesus! Crusades, Waldorf, MD

“ADVENTURES OF A WITNESS FOR JESUS” is one of the most sincere books I have read in a long time. It is full of helpful and wonderful advice for reaching others for Christ. The book is genuine. You can feel the author’s heart and soul for the lost; it is a book that I have returned to frequently to be refreshed in my own thirst to reach lost souls for the Lord; it is a reference book you will use time and time again.  I absolutely enjoyed this book.”

Marlene Cleveland,  Author, “I Saw a Man”, Waldorf, MD

“Everyone loves a story, and these stories are exciting, inspirational and informative reading. “ADVENTURES OF A WITNESS FOR JESUS” both motivates and equips Christians to be better witnesses for their Lord.”

Rev. Bob Lawton, Fellowship International Mission,  Allentown, PA,

“This book very gently pulls you in to a great read, making it hard to put down. These 52 simple yet courageous testimonies are lovingly told. They encourage, challenge and uplift. The author writes with a passion as he reveals many different ways the Lord uses ordinary people for His extraordinary purposes. A great gift for anyone searching for Truth and Life.”

   Laura Strobel, Poet, Greenbelt, MD

This dear lady listened patiently when Warren shared the Gospel, but she was not ready to receive

Jesus as her Lord.

Having been out of work for two months, the Lord had prepared him to call on Jesus. We prayed for a job and his salvation.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Before WW2 Warren lived in a dream world of art and music. But when he saw 185 shipmates get killed by a torpedo in the Pacific his eyes were opened to the terrible forces of evil that are destroying the world. At age 29, he had a sweet wife, a new baby boy and he became born again. Realizing Jesus is the only solution for this sin-sick world, he dreamed of doing big things for God--like preaching to multitudes  a  la Billy

Graham. But the Lord had other plans for him.

Although he supported his family as an advertising artist, and part-time musician, God began to use his ministry in many unique ways. Upon retiring he began an open - air ministry called Operation Salt and Light. Now some of his activities include sharing the Gospel every Sunday morning to teen-age boys at Boy’s Village in Cheltenham, Maryland, leading small group studies in Evangelism at church, and motivational talks to Christians.

2 Timothy 2:2 -- “And the things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able

to teach others also.” This verse, along with encouragement from, a former pastor, motivated Warren to select some of his most interesting experiences from his journal in sharing Jesus and include them in this book. Now he seeks opportunities to promote the book through Book-signings, Author Interviews on Christian Radio, and offering motivational talks wherever Christians gather.

What do you say to a

              TRASH MAN?

My best friend is a trash collector. When

I was 29 years old, my whole life was

trash. I thank the Lord Jesus for picking

me up out of a dump. He cleaned me up.

He forgave my sins. And He gave me a

holy desire and the power to live a life

that is pleasing to God. He wants to be

your friend. May I tell you about Him?

What do you say to a

                BOOKKEEPER?

I was just reading about an incredible bookkeeper

that keeps records of every person that ever lived.

The book is called the Lamb’s Book of Life. And

everyone who has received Jesus as their Lord

and Saviour has their name in it -- and they are

   guaranteed a place in Heaven.

Do you know whether your name is there?

“I am struck very time I open Warren’s book by his energy and unflagging determination to be constantly on the look-out for ways to introduce people to Jesus and Jesus to people.  And I love the retro-style illustrations. Warren Sears is an in-the-street, all-out Christian. This book is not for everyone, but I know anyone who feels called to this ministry will find it up-lifting and unfailingly inspiring. And those of us with a Presbyterian sort of reticence about “pushing” religion will find it an interesting challenge. It can’t fail to influence anyone who picks it up.”

Kay Campbell, Faith & Values Editor,

The Huntsville Times, Huntsville, AL

“This is a fascinating book. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Your witness is bold, daring, and indeed adventurous. You are truly passionate about soul-saving. We should all learn from your example of witnessing. Your book has inspired me to break into new grounds in being creative in our witnessing efforts.”

Tom and Norma Jones, S.D.A. Missionaries,

Apopka , FL

“ADVENTURES OF A WITNESS FOR JESUS  is a collec-

tion of true life stories which may not be believed if one did

not know Warren. I know Warren well and can attest to his zeal and passion for evangelism. This book is not just a methodology in how to do evangelism, but more than that, it’s a motivational treatise which will encourage the  average Christian to seize any opportunity, however small to insert a word for Jesus Christ.”

Mark. A. Johnson, PhD,

Pastor,Salem Ave Baptist Church, Rolla, MO

“My dad had been reading your book, Adventures of a Witness for Jesus, to the rest of us at lunch-time, and we recently finished it. It was neat to hear of all the different ways God used you to spread the Gospel to others. Thank you for all that you have done, for writing that book to tell about it, and for all the suggestions you gave. We really praise the Lord for your heart to reach the lost and to challenge others to do the same.”

From Jephunneh for the Van Der Deckers,

Missionaries,  Papua, New Guinea

“This book is just amazing. I have known the author, G. Warren Sears, for close to fifty years. He has been like an adopted father to me. I can assure you that every story in this book is absolutely true. Warren has an incredible gift for witnessing for Jesus. His unwavering faith and trust in Christ have take him on a lifetime of journeys which have changed people's lives. Surprisingly, Warren's adventures center mainly on everyday occurrences, showing us that we too can learn to recognize opportunities to witness our faith and further the Kingdom of God. Oh by the way, this book is funny. Warren's joy for serving the Lord overflows from every page. You've got to read this book.”

Is every Christian called to be a witness?

Or only those who have the gift of evangelism?

Many verses in the Bible convince me that all Christians are called  to be witnesses. Here are a few that motivate me:

“And many of them who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life,

and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” (Daniel 12:2-3)

“But you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me . . .” (Acts 1:8)

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His

marvelous light:” (1 peter 2:9)

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation . . . “ (2 Corinthians 5:17-18)
